Owl Pellets and Reading Buddies

1/23/09
Today we read with first graders. After that we took our lang test. Then in social studies we had to do a work sheet. It was now time to swich to Mrs.Heberlin. First we checked wordly wise (spelling). Then we had a spelling bee Emily won, and then we did the spelling test. After all of that we dissected owl pellets. We found some cool bones of rodents and birds. Then it was time to switch to Mr.Exner's. We went to lunch After Mr.Exner told us the plan for today. The lunch choices were meatloaf or chicken. After lunch we had recess, and then we went in and checked the back of our math sheet. We then played some math games. Then we switched back to Mrs.Evans; we got packed up and ready to go to P.E.We played 3 on 3 basketball. Then it was time to go home.

Inaugural Day

Today we watched the Inaugural Ceremony on our Promethean Board and wrote letters to President Obama.

Notes from Reporter Nick:
I was the helper and this was our day. We did morning work, and we did day two. We worked the problems on the board. We checked the problems. We worked on a letter to the President. We love to write in our notebook. Next we went to Social Studies. We talked about the Inauguration in SS. We saw the new and old presidents, the first ladies, the President's children, and the President's limo. For specials today we had P.E. We played wiffle ball.

Reporter Katie

This morning we learned about time lines in Social Studies. Then in Mrs. Heaberlin's class we read the story, "We'll Never Forget You, Roberto Clemente". We had a substitute because Mrs. Heaberlin's mother died. Mrs. Tonya was our substitute. We watched part of a movie, but then we had to switch classes. For lunch we had Sloppy Joes or chicken nuggets. At recess we played 4 square and shark attack. In Mr. Exner's class, we played some math games. And when we got back to homeroom, we had another substitute, Mrs. Perry. She took us to PE where we played wiffle ball. Finally, we all got to go home.
