Reporter Blake
Today (Thursday) we had a substitute for Mrs. Evans. It rained a lot! We read our reindeer stories and created Morse Code messages. Then we went to Mrs. Heaberlin's class and worked on our Shades of Gray/Civil War projects. After that we played Jeopardy in Mr. Exner's class. One of the questions was "what is the radius of a circle with a diameter of 15cm?" Can you answer that? Send us a comment if you can.

We began the day by checking our Daily Language sheet. After that, we went to the restrooms. Then we watched a Civil War video over Reconstruction. We went to the library to meet our guest speaker, Mark Warren. We learned about archery and Native Americans from our area, the Muskogee. He shot a bow and arrow and told us about the Tulip tree. Did you know that the indians made bows strong and bendable by using just one ring of a tree? We changed to Mr. Exner and went to lunch. After that we went outside to play. In Mr. Exner's class we played some math games and took our benchmark test. Then we went to music for specials. Then we all went home!

Cricket's Visit by Evan
Cricket's visit has been the best thing ever this year. Cricket is an alligator; he's fun to watch! When I have an assignment, I always look at him like he gives me the answer or something. I'm very thankful that he came here to our school. Cricket came on a Wednesday, the day of the 5th grade field trip to GYSTC. We got to pet Cricket. He was a scaley little one. I was scared to pet him at first, but I got over it. On Friday, the 21st of November, was Cricket's last day. Mrs. Cindy, a helper for the school, came in class and let us pet Cricket. It was shocking when I found out that he was leaving. Cricket was like a man's best friend to everyone. He was a very talented little alligator. It's hard for everyone because he's touched everyone's heart, even the teachers. Cricket is like a human friend, and when he leaves everyone is going to be sad. Cricket was saved near the National Park and was brought here. We love Cricket with all of our hearts.
